Traditional Funeral Service

Many families in our area choose to say their last goodbyes through a Traditional Funeral Service with family and friends. A traditional funeral service is when your loved one is present and can be held in our funeral home, a church or special place chosen by the family. Typically a time of visitation will precede the funeral ceremony. A Visitation is a time when family and friends are invited to view the deceased and pay their last respects. Private time is reserved for family before the public visitation. Floral arrangements, photographs, personal mementos and other special items are used to spark memories and pay honor to the life lived. Generally, visitations last for two to six hours the day before the funeral. Visitation usually continues up to the time of the service the day of the funeral. A funeral can be whatever the family desires and often consists of scripture readings, prayers, a eulogy, sometimes a sermon and music. The traditional funeral precedes the final interment of the body at the cemetery.

Graveside Funeral Service

Selecting a Graveside Service meets the needs of families who need to view the body to gain closure and begin healing, and wish to avoid the formality associated with a Traditional Funeral Service. Time is set aside for a Visitation for family and friends to pay their last respects. The place and length of the visitation is a personal decision for each family. Those who gather have an opportunity to share memories and emotions with those who share in your loss. Families gather at the grave site where a brief ceremony is held to honor the memory of the deceased. Prayers and remarks are said before final goodbyes are made.

Cremation with Memorial Service

Direct Cremation with Memorial Service is a service without visitation at the funeral home. The body and casket are not present at the time of the service. The memorial service is a time to commemorate the life of the person including favorite music, poetry and personal remembrances. This ceremony can be held at the funeral home, church or other place chosen by the family. An urn, family pictures and other memorabilia may be present. Following the cremation, the cremated remains are returned to the family. The final resting place of your loved one (burial, placement or scattering) is completed by the family.

Direct Cremation

Direct Cremation offers disposition of the body without a service of recognition. Following the cremation, the remains are returned to the family. The final resting place of your loved one (burial, placement or scattering) is completed by the family.
