(Boeing Test Pilot)

Jim Goodell died November 20, 2016, at the age of 94. Jim was born on a farm
near Lincoln, KS, the son of Frances and Thomas Goodell. He grew up in the
Kansas City area. Jim was always interested in flying and made his first solo
flight at the age of 16. He served in the Navy as a pilot during World War II,
in Patrol Squadrons VP 207 and VPB 114, flying PBM and PB4Y airplanes. He was
a graduate of the University of Kansas. Jim worked for Boeing at Wichita, KS,
and Seattle, WA, as a test pilot from 1951 until retirement in 1981

He will be missed by his wife, Ruth; daughters: Debbie and Mary, and her
husband, Jim; son, Doug, and his wife, Cindy, and their three sons: Dillon,
Cory and Trenton.

At his request, no services are to be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may
be made to the Boeing Flight Museum in Seattle, or to PBS public television.
