Obituary for Patricia Lynn Mikelson

Patricia Lynn Mikelson
Patricia “Pat” Mikelson, 57, of Wenatchee, WA, went to be with the Lord on
February 3, 2017, after a sudden embolism. She will be missed by many who knew
and loved her. Pat’s sparkling blue eyes, bright smile and contagious laugh
will never be forgotten. Pat was born in Portland, OR, on March 30, 1959, to
Darrel and Betty Bozett. In 1972, they moved to Wenatchee, WA, where she grew
up and graduated from Wenatchee High School. Pat worked as a manager at the
Anita Shop/Jean Nichole in the Valley North Mall where she met her husband and
best friend, Bob Mikelson in 1977. Pat and Bob were happily married on
February 16, 1985.

Pat then transitioned from her work in retail to the dental field, working for
Dr. Kelly, and more currently, for Dr. Schroeder as a dental receptionist. She
volunteered much of her free time participating in community events and giving
back to the Wenatchee Valley she loved so much. Pat had a heart for animals
and wanted to make sure all were loved and cared for properly. It was not
unusual for her to care for a stray cat and make sure it felt loved. She
enjoyed spending time with friends and family, loved being outdoors,
gardening, and soaking up the sun. Pat was very close with her siblings and
extended family. In 1997, she gained another sister and close bond in Ann. She
was happiest with family or somewhere on a beach with Bob by her side.
Together, she and Bob took several tropical vacations and enjoyed many amazing
adventures.

Pat was preceded in death by her mom, Betty (Todd); and two uncles: Gary
Thompson and Steve Thompson. Survivors include her husband, Bob Mikelson;
daughter, Jennifer (Andy) Melsness and grandson Mathew; sister, Ann (Z)
Zitzelsberger, and niece, Joy of Canby, OR; sister, Barb Johnson; nephew, Ben
(Heather) Johnson; niece, Kady (Murphy) Gonzales, Tyson, Max and Vaida;
brother, Dave (Heidi) Bozett, Beau, Blake and Brock of Spokane, WA; brother,
Brad (Lisa) Bozett, Chase and Carly; father, Darrel (Nancy) Bozett of Spokane,
WA.

If my parting has left a void

Then fill it with remembered joy.

A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss

Oh yes, these things I too will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow

I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.

My life’s been full, I savored much

Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief

Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.

Lift up your hearts, and peace to thee

God wanted me now; He set me free.
