Obituary for Kenneth R "Ken" Manke

Kenneth R "Ken"  Manke
Sgt. Ken Manke, retired, AKA 007, one of the good guys, left us Friday, April 28, 2017.
He was born August ,18, 1946 to Warren & Ilene (Rogers) Manke in Spokane. He and his sister, Cheryl, were raised in Mansfield. In 1968, Ken joined the U.S. Navy and served on the U.S.S. Everglades. He received his honorable discharge in 1970.
On May 12, 1990, he married Candise Coryell. They made East Wenatchee their home since that time.
Ken spent 27 years working for the Wenatchee Police Department.
He is survived by his wife, Candy, East Wenatchee; his children, Matthew, and his wife, Stefanie Manke, and Margo Manke, all of Camas, Jayson Redden, Wenatchee, Andrew Redden and Kerry Redden, both of East Wenatchee; and his 3 most beloved grandchildren, Laney, Zoey and Marshall Redden.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Sage Hills Church; 1601 5th St., Wenatchee, at 1 p.m. The service will conclude at the church. A private interment will be at the Mansfield cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ken’s name to the American Legion, Post 10, Wenatchee.
Arrangements are by Telford’s Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
