The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Charles Ashworth can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

Jeff

First my Friend, then a Hunting Partner, a Fishing partner and then after walking Becky down the aisle, my Father in Law. I do not know how articulate the emotion and this feeling of loss …. All I know is my heart is breaking. I will undoubtedly miss a special bond and the camaraderie that we shared. THE WORLD LOST A SON, A BROTHER, A FATHER, A GRANDPA, A BELOVED FRIEND, NEIGHBOR, A TRUE COWBOY AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST AN AMERICAN HERO. Though now only memories of years past, to me it seems like just yesterday the times we spent together fishing the many Lake shores near the Ranch in summer months. Cruising National Forest Roads looking for Grouse and Snow Shoe Rabbits in Septembers. “No scratches”. Hunting the elusive Whitetail Bucks in the Timber of the Kelly Hill area nothing like dry camping in Novembers. Together we fished the Saltwater’s of Puget Sound and the cool Mountain streams of Montana and froze our butts off Steelhead fishing our honey hole on the Okanogan river. We built fires you could see from space. We danced on a little back porch of the old singlewide to Jimmy Buffet and George Strait songs…… pulled corks and threw them…… drank more beer than a small regimen…… and laugh, oh did we laugh at everything and everybody including ourselves. Never to be forgotten are his “one liners” like “ I’ll have that done in skinnet” or “I’ll be there in 4011 seconds” or “Wrestling alligators” or “it’s on the list” and my favorite and his I think, to every woman he could use it on “are you naked?” these will forever be in my vocabulary and very fond memories. Memories I will always cherish and we will surely laugh about again when I see him next…. Yah Ta Hey, Chuck, Yah Ta Hey.
